Fault rectification day

Today my ID supposed to rectify all faults. My toilet screws are rusty ... so fast?
My built-in wardrobe was chipped ...
My toilet seat can't stay up ... it's those non-bang system, so now got to change to conventional one.

And I scolded my ID, shouted at her ... why? Because she don't want to help at all. My shoe cabinet doors keeps knocking on the false ceiling when opened so I wanted to cut short the doors ... but she can't be bothered. After I scold her, she threaten to walk off ...

Fortunately, my mum and aunts were ther as well ... after reasoning with her, she finally agreed. But she got the cheek to say that we are the ones that agreed on the design and that our attitude were bad ... looks who's talking ... she always gave us the "can't be bothered" look and don't bother to explain things to us ...

The last straw was when she says we did not appreciate the extra things she did for us. Right ... I'll appreciate if she can deliver the things, keep to the design, inform us of changes, take off that sulky face ...

In the end, we were there from 2 - 8 p.m. And the painter still has not arrive yet ...

Wardrobe shortened, aircon and shelving relocated

Today the wardrobe was dismantled and shortened ... big damage ... ID says will help me mend ...

And the shelving in the living has been brought down 8 inches. Damage again to the wall, wonder how the good plastering will cover up ...

Shopping at Mayer

We bought our cooker hood and hob, oven and washing machine and fridge here. However, due to height limitation, we had to changed the fridge to an Expresso maker. Mayer don't offer refunds.

Don't know what makes me put them so high. Fortunately, ID agreed to get carpenter to redo them lower. Finally, a plus point amid all the negative ones.

Arguments with our ID

- ID want to collect 2nd deposit when hacking start. When we say wait till tiles arrive, she ask for delivery of the tiles and leave them openly near the void deck.

- She never noticed there's a sewage pipe hidden previously in the kitchen. In the end, we bought a fridge, found it was too tall. She flatly blamed us for buying too fast, don't want to redraw kitchen design, rehack base also must pay. In the end, we going to buy another fridge. Worst of all, we were the ones to notice the pipe and inform her ...

- Brought us to see lights with another customer. In the end, left us with the salesman and she gave her attention to the other customer. Laater, she blamed us for using square downlights ... hey, why blame us? She was the one who talk to the salesman and that what he recommends!

- Toilet accessories shopping - don't want to help us visualise the layout of toilet stuff ... no patience, keep saying we fickle-minded.

- When installing toilet fittings, told us to go new flat at 10:30 a.m., but plumber arrive 11:30 a.m., but never ask where we want to install and left. She herself came at 1p.m. Only took half-day leave ... late for work in the end.

- Promised $1200 for 4 x Nyatoh doors with door frames but now quote me $1380.

- Promised us one price for 44ft kitchen cabinet but now cost about $400 more.

- False ceiling not built according to design but never inform us.

- Not receptive of our ideas, always want the fast way out. Not willing to listen.

- Now built-in wardrobe is blocking the rm dr, cannot open fully.

- Now aircon is blocked by built-in wardrobe ... how is the rm going to be cooled then?

- Never provide ABS trimming for kitchen cabinet.

- Don't want to provide electrical testing. Wants to charge much higher if testing needed, like $400+ more.

- Now living rm lights not bright enough, blamed us for choosing warm white for the 4 corners ... we were thinking of creating a warm cosy effect :(

- Expect some more to come up ...

It's been a while since our home renovation started and finally! we gotten down to putting this up :)

Works:
- Hacking of all walls and floors
- Homogeneous tiles for living
- Laminate for bedrms
- Do kitchen cabinets, shoe cabinet and built-in wardrobe
- Do L-Box and false ceiling
- Changing of corridor-facing windows and kitchen windows and grilles.

Designer:
- So-so, inflexible.
- Not willing to communicate much, very busy with other projects, overheard got some Grandeur 8 ...
- Service definitely a negative ... imagine someone saying that she wants to finish off your project fast so she doesn't need to see you again ...
- Promised a price for kitchen cabinet but actual figure higher. Are our expectations too high or ... ?
- Imagine ... she took another customer to buy lights with us. In the end, she gave all her attention to that customer and left us on our own with the salesman ... WTF?
- Then over at toilet accessories shop, not very willing to help us visualise, gives a black face ... again ... ??? Customer service???
